OSUN Joins Open Education Network to Advance Educational Equity Through the Use of Open Materials - Bard College

The Open Society University Network (OSUN), of which Bard is a cofounder, recently joined the Open Education Network, a supportive community of more than 300 global members advancing the use of open educational resources (OER) and related practices to empower faculty, remove barriers to education, and enhance student success. OSUN’s membership in the network furthers its commitment to education equity through OER. “When we talk about the equitable classroom experience, that includes access to course materials,” said Meggan Houlihan, director of the OSUN Library Resources Program and member of OSUN’s OER Working Group. “If we can’t get students the materials they need, then it’s not an equitable learning experience. This is why OER is so important to OSUN.”
