The University of New Mexico is partnering with rural libraries around the country to improve access to training materials for certified water operators. The program will provide free textbooks and other materials water operators need to study for their certification or increase their operator level. These textbooks and study materials can be hard to find in rural communities. Officials say increasing the number of certified water operators will help ensure all communities have access to clean, safe drinking water.
