HCCC students have saved $2.1M in textbook costs - Stephanie Sorrell-White, Times Telegram

Herkimer County Community College has taken steps to reduce some of the cost associated with textbook materials through the Open Educational Resources (OER) program, saving students more than $2.1 million in textbook costs since 2016. Open educational resources, according to the college, “are high-quality, digital coursework materials made accessible to students online rather than in traditional, more expensive hard copy form.”
