Studies have shown that access to open educational resources— learning materials that are free and easy to access — can improve student outcomes in classes. As the new trend in higher education catches on, faculty and administrators gathered Friday at a statewide conference on open educational resources, or OERs, hosted by the Colorado Department of Higher Education at the Colorado Community College System campus in Denver.
